This special photo shoot is designed just for babies celebrating their first birthday—congratulations! You've made it through a year of changes, sleepless nights, and all the ups and downs that come with parenting, and now it’s time to celebrate your little one’s big milestone!
Our Cake Smash & Splash session is a fun-filled experience where we capture adorable moments of your baby enjoying (and maybe destroying) their birthday cake! After the cake-smashing fun, we move to the splash part, where we clean up with a cute bubble bath. Before we dive into the mess, I'll also take some sweet photos of you and your baby together, as well as solo shots of your little one.
Of course, each part of the session depends on how your baby is feeling that day, but I'll do my best to make it a relaxed, enjoyable experience and create memories you’ll cherish forever.
After the session, you'll be invited back to the studio within one to two weeks to view your final gallery of around 20 beautifully edited images. This is when you can decide which package you'd like to go for.
To secure your booking, I do ask for a £99 non-refundable retainer, which will be deducted from your final order. This allows me to make sure everything is perfect for your little one’s big day.

After the cake smashing fun, we move on to the splash! We bring out the bubble bath, and it’s time to wash away the cake remnants. It’s the perfect ending to a fun-filled session, and I’ll be sure to get some great shots of your little one enjoying their bubbly bath.
A week or two after our session, you’ll return to the studio to see a beautiful gallery of around 20 edited images. This is where the fun continues, as you’ll choose the ones you’d like to keep as lasting memories of this incredible milestone.

How to prepare for a Cake Smash session ?
To get ready for your little one’s Cake Smash session, it’s all about ensuring they’re in the best mood possible! A good nap right before the session can work wonders—after all, a well-rested baby is a happy baby, and we want those beaming, toothless smiles shining through in every shot. Make sure they’re well-fed and content, so they’re all set to dive into the fun.
Feel free to bring along a couple of outfit options to mix things up, along with any favourite toys or comfort items that can help keep your baby calm and happy.
Our studio will be filled with props and backgrounds specifically designed to create engaging and adorable photos, so you can relax knowing we’ve got the setup covered.

What to expect after the Cake Smash session ?
Within about 1 to 2 weeks after your sitter session, we’ll invite you back to our studio to view a gallery of around 20 beautifully edited images. We carefully select and enhance the best photos to showcase your baby’s charming personality and those special moments.
During your viewing appointment, you’ll have the opportunity to review the gallery, choose your favorite images, and discuss any additional prints or products you may want.
Our goal is to provide you with stunning, professionally edited photos that you’ll cherish for years to come.
"When is best to book my baby's cake smash session for?"
When it comes to booking a Cake Smash shoot, you have a couple of options! Ideally, we recommend scheduling your session a few weeks before the big day. This way, you’ll have those adorable images ready to display at your little one’s birthday party, adding a special touch to the celebration.
Of course, if you’d prefer to mark the occasion with a shoot on your baby’s actual birthday, that’s an option too! It’s a beautiful way to celebrate this milestone and create meaningful memories right on the day itself. Just keep in mind that we only shoot one session per day, so if that’s what you have in mind, be sure to reach out as soon as possible to secure your spot.
If your birthday plans are already packed, we can also arrange the shoot just a few days before the party, ensuring you still get those lovely images in time.

"What do I need to bring on the day?"
Your little one will be perfectly fine during the session, especially if they’re well-rested!
Feel free to bring along a couple of outfits you love, especially for the portrait part of the shoot. We suggest coordinating the whole family’s outfits with complementary colours like neutrals, off-whites, or even shades like navy, dark grey, or green. Just try to avoid strong patterns and logos to keep the focus on those adorable expressions.
No need to bring a towel; we’ll take care of the cleanup during the splash part of the session!
We’ll have a cake ready for your little one to smash, but if you’d prefer to bring your own, that’s absolutely fine too! Just let us know in advance, and we’ll plan the setup around similar designs to create a cohesive look.
You can book your cake smash session as early as your newborn shoot! We’ll schedule your date for when your little one is around their first birthday, ideally between 11 and 12 months old. This timing is perfect for capturing all those adorable moments as they get ready to smash their cake and splash in the bubbly bath!
To secure your spot, it’s best to book a few months in advance, especially if you are planning your session for a specific day.
If your little one decides to throw a curveball on the day of the session, no worries at all! It’s totally normal for babies to have their off days.

First, just send us a quick message to check availability for your preferred date. Once we find a date that works for you, we’ll share all the details and next steps to ensure everything goes smoothly.
To secure your spot, we’ll ask for a £99 deposit. This ensures your session date is reserved just for you, and the good news is, this amount will be fully credited towards your purchase at the viewing since we don’t have a separate session fee.
After you’re all booked in, we’ll send you a confirmation and any additional information you might need to prepare for the fun! We’ll also schedule a friendly consultation to discuss what to bring and how to get ready for the special day.
We can’t wait to capture those beautiful, cake-filled moments and make your cake smash session an unforgettable experience!
We don’t charge for the shoot itself. It is entirely free to attend the shoot and have pictures taken of you and your baby. At no time are you are under any obligation to purchase a single image if you don’t wish to, in that case the shoot will have cost you nothing. Should you, however, wish to order just a few images or prints rather than a package, due to the time involved in creating, processing, ordering and printing etc. or creating the multiple versions of files for USB there is a minimum order fee of £599.
£99 non-refundable retainer required in order to secure your booking. This will be deducted from your final order.
By far our most popular package, it includes everything you might need and more, providing you with a beautiful keepsake from your baby's milestone photoshoot.

Our basic package is perfect for anyone on a budget who still wants the absolute best images for their baby.
*Should there be more images in our final gallery on the viewing day, they are available for purchase at £30 per digital file and a matching print.
Your digital images are presented in high resolution on a USB drive where applicable. The digital file collections all include printing rights.
Additional prints and products can be purchased at the viewing. All prices are available on our website under the "product tab".
