What began as a way of providing sheep skin shoe
products to a group of long-time Washington Shoe
Company retailers has now turned into a national
"buying frenzy" that has generated sales
momentum and excitement in major markets around
the US, according to Rob Moehring, President of
the Kent, Washington-based company.
Chookas are stylish, rugged and comfortable sheep
skin boots that are designed to appeal to women
and their little ones. Chookas come in 14 color
schemes, including faded pink, lavender, blue, ruby
red, burnt orange, surf blue and black among others.
Upper colors connect with sole colors to create
in very fashion forward styling. Women ’s sizes
range from 5 to 11, and kid ’s sizes from 8
to 2 and the boots come in short and tall styles.
Chooka began making slippers in the 1940s and five
years ago took them outside when they introduced
their first sheepskin boots. They became the perfect
